From accommodation to study options, student finance to student life, your students will come out of the sessions with a greater understanding of what higher education is, how to access further study, and their post-compulsory education options. Our fully trained team can also deliver sessions to parents and carers covering UCAS and Student Finance, providing key information, challenging misconceptions, and giving them the tools to support young people in their decision-making and application process.
Open Evenings/Information Fairs
Our team can bring along an information stand and resources to your event. They will talk to pupils and parents about progressing to higher education, answer questions, and offer information on courses available at each of our five Partner universities: Durham University, Newcastle University, Northumbria University, University of Sunderland and Teesside University.
In-School Activity
Our team are able to offer a series of free in-school workshops covering a range of topics linked to higher education and the opportunities available to students. These sessions can be tailored to suit your pupil’s needs. All sessions are completely free of charge, and delivered by our trained team from across the Partnership.
Flexible Delivery
To better support schools across the region, the Partnership have produced a KS4 Teacher’s Guide that contains a series of workshops that you can deliver to your students at a pace and frequency that works for you.
The Teacher’s Guide to Inspiring Futures in the North East includes topics on working in the region, options at 18, exploring HE, and university applications. This Guide, as well as a pupil workbook, are available to download for free from your Teacher’s Dashboard.
